Bake Sale for K'iin Beh
In March 2022, Mission Educate partnered with the Jericho High School Art Club to coordinate a bake that raised over $500 for Centro Educativo K'iin Beh.
School Supplies Drive
In March and April 2022, a supplies drive sponsored by Mission Educate was held throughout the Jericho High School to collect new school equipment for the Christian Church Lily Valley in Queens, New York as well as Complejo Educativo José Maria Lemus in El Salvador.
Supplies Packaging for El Salvador
The Jericho High School Art Club members dedicated one of their meetings in May 2022 to organizing and packaging some of the supplies. The boxes were shipped to El Salvador later that year.
Supplies Packaging for Queens
The remaining supplies from the drive were packaged in collaboration with Love Together Brasil and delivered to the Christian Church Lily Valley in Queens in December 2022.
Visits to K'iin Beh
In August 2022 and 2023, Alex got the chance to visit his students in person at their school, K'iin Beh! He also delivered supplies and meet with staff and faculty to plan future projects.
Student Connection Program Zoom
In January 2023, the pen pals participating in Mission Educate's Student Connection Program from Mexico and the United States met over Zoom to communicate with each other face-to-face and play trivia together.
Spanish Honor Society Zoom with K'iin Beh
In March 2023, Mission Educate collaborated with the Spanish Honor Society at Jericho High School to host a Zoom connecting the club members with K'iin Beh students in a cross-cultural conversation.

In June 2023, Mission Educate held a joint GoFundMe fundraiser with Gold Hearts NY that helped provide over 55 books to child cancer patients in Peru.
Student Connection Program at Jericho Middle School
In September 2023, 8th grade Spanish students at Jericho High School engaged in Mission Educate's Student Connection Program. Over 250 students total between Jericho and K'iin Beh engaged in email exchanges in which they learned about the lives of their partners and practiced writing in the language they were learning.
